Chances are, you realized that your homies are doing some heavy promotion on PM International when scrolling down your Facebook feeds.
You might also get bombarded by their invitations to join the company and earn lucrative commissions from the company.
But the old sayings applied here: “If it sounds too good to be true, it is!”
You hold a healthy dose of skepticism and ask yourself such questions:
“What Is PM International?”
“Is It A Scam?”
You went on Google to look for answers, and it brings you here.
Am I right?
If so, I must congratulate you on doing your due diligence to research the company before joining any “seeming” good program.

I spent 2 days writing this review based on my research and information available on Google. So you don’t need to.
That said, any recommendation and conclusions are only opinions and may not apply to all persons or situations.

What Is PM International?
Based out of Luxembourg, PM International is another “typical” MLM that founded by Rolf Sorg in 1993.
I say it’s a “typical” MLM because most of the networking marketing companies I reviewed before are competing in the same niches. Still, we’ll take a closer look at PM International to see if they are any different.
PM international doesn’t always have this name. They started out as P.M. Cosmetics, and the company only marketing makeup and other beauty essentials at that time.
The company had rebranded to the current name in 2013, and their product line has expanded to both health & wellness and beauty & cosmetics niches. You can think of it as a 2-in-1 MLM company.
On their official website, they claim to be one of the biggest MLM companies in Europe, with over 150,000 successful distributors worldwide.
But when I check into their profile on Direct Selling News (DSN), the data shows the company only had 27,162 distributors in 2018.
It’s possible for a company to grow 6 times faster in 2 years. But the data shown on DSN might only represent the number of salespeople in PM International’s primary market – Germany.
There’s no way to verify which claim is valid, so we’ll just leave it at that.
Who Is Rolf Sorg?
PM International Product Line
PM International offers a wide range of products that align with popular consumer needs.
They used to break down these products into 2 major categories, viz;
- FitLine for their sport and nutritional supplements.
- BeautyLine for their personal care and cosmetic products.
But in 2018, they’ve got rid of the name “BeautyLine” and recoined their cosmetics product line as “FitLine Cosmetics”.
According to them, this decision aims to take advantage of the high recognition value of FitLine brand equity and bundles the efforts to develop the cosmetics product range further.
As there’re too many products featured on their website, I can’t list them down one by one.
You can always explore their product catalogs on their official website.
How To Join PM International?
Paying to join is a norm in the MLM industry.
To be part of PM International, you’re required to complete a signup form and pay a $40 for their Starter Kit, which consists of:
- A bag
- Sports bottle
- Mixing spoon
- Activize Oxyplus
On top of that, you’ve to pay for a one-time additional product (Ultimate Young Demo Product) that priced at $58.50.
How To Make Money With PM International?
By sticking to the framework above, I’ll explain how you can get started with PM International to earn commissions eventually.
1) Paying Joining Fee
I’ve explained this part in the previous section. Let me briefly recap it for your information.
To join PM International as a distributor, you’ve to purchase their Starter kits and a one-time additional product that will cost you $98.50 in total.
The total joining fee that you need to pay WILL vary based on different countries. The price that I stated above is solely for residents from the USA.
2) Ways To Earn Commissions
PM International doesn’t provide a complete copy of their compensation plan on the company website.
This really put me in a hard time as I have to do extra works on researching how do they pay out commissions to their distributors or what’s the ways to earn commissions out of it.
The following analysis has been taken from official PM International compensation material I sourced elsewhere.
As I said, most MLM compensation plans are extremely sophisticated. So there’s no point for me to get into every precise detail of PM International compensation as that’ll definitely bore you.
Instead, I’ll only give you a brief explanation of the 4 primary ways of how you can earn commissions from the company. Let’s get right into it.
i) Retail Commissions
You can think of it like the retail profits that you can earn through selling products to your retail customers.
You can get an extra 10% retail commission from each sale you made if you have a standing 100 PV or more monthly autoship order.
ii) Top Retailer Bonus Commissions
If you’re able to hit the given sales target by generating at least 2500GV within a calendar month, you’ll receive 3% commissions from all the retail sales made by your team.
This commission can go up to 5% if you manage to generate 5000 GV.
FYI, GV stands for “Group Volume” and is the sales volume generated by a distributor and their downlines.
iii) Recruitment Commissions
Every time you refer someone to take part in the business opportunity by signing them up with the Premium Pack that costs $528 (as shown in the figure below), you’ll earn $60 commission.
If your rank is at the ‘Manager’ level or higher, the commission you get will be as high as $120.
iv) Residual Commissions
This commission type is also known as Team Commission, which will be paid out via an unilevel compensation structure in PM International.
3) Leveraging Your Downline Team
Frankly, all you need to do to succeed in the MLM is building a large downline team that could continuously branch out your circle and maximizes your earning potential.
None of the high achievers in MLM are just focusing on selling products. They often have numerous downlines signed up in the layers beneath them.
If selling and recruiting people is not your cup of tea, then this business opportunity is not for you.

1) Exponential Business Growth
Here’s the graph that I’ve created to show you their revenue growth from 2010 to 2019:
Likewise, Google Trend shows the public interests toward PM International are rising exponentially from 2004 until the time of writing this review (29 July 2020) and has reached to the top in recent times.
Here’s the graph I captured on Google Trend:
All these data have proved the company’s firm business foundation, which is a great sign for both consumers and distributors.
2) Trusted by Hundred of Athletes Worldwide
PM International’s most popular product line is FitLine products, which are their sport and nutritional supplements.
As yet, PM International has sponsored 383 Olympic-caliber athletes from almost 70 sport types. You can easily get this piece of info from their “FitLine Athletes” webpage.
3) Affordable Joining Fee
No matter what kind of brick-and-mortar business, it often requires you to have huge upfront funding. This means it might put yourself—and your money and reputation out there and at risk.
But you only need to pay less than $100 to be an associate of PM International, and you’re already running a business that could bring you substantial returns than most traditional businesses if you work super duper hard…in RECRUITMENT.
1) Pay To Win MLM Opportunity
It’s very normal if an MLM company provides more rewards for high-ranked distributors than the lower ranks, and I have nothing against that.
But when the MLM company allows people to rank up faster by paying more, it is a big NO-NO.
From their compensation plan, you might notice that the PM International MLM program works out like a “pay-to-win” business opportunity.
As I mentioned earlier, you can get an extra 10% retail commission from each sale you made if you signed up their auto-shipment for $100/month.
Moreover, if you enroll as their distributor through buying the Premium Pack priced at $528, you will rank a bit “faster.”
Imagine if you worked your face off in the beginning, and finally your ranking is getting some traction.
Then, a “rich kid” comes in and outrank you easily after buying the expensive pack. I am sure this will hit you dramatically and make you feel lost. I’ve experienced this before, so I know how it feels.
2) Saturated Market
Health & wellness/beauty & cosmetics are evergreen niches. However, they’re highly competitive too.
Their direct competitors are included:
In most cases, the retail pricing of products manufactured by MLM companies will be much higher than commercial brands.
An identical product can be found at a local store for a 20-60% lower price.
This is because MLMs need a higher margin to ensure their own benefits and commission distributions among the members.
That said, you’ve to hone your marketing & closing skills from time to time to stand out of such an overcrowded market.
Or else, I can 100% guarantee most of your customers will go for commercial brands over MLM if they struggled to see any outstanding values in your products, get it?
3) Product Ingredient Lawsuits
In 2017, TV 2 – a Danish TV Show, ever described PM International is a company that operates as a “pyramid company” that fraud peoples’ money by selling them inferior quality products that “made up by powdered sugars”.
Certainly, PM International disagreed with all the claims made by TV 2 and accusing them of slandering.
PM International had filed 3 lawsuits against TV 2, but the Supreme Court rejected all of them, the latest one was in December of 2019.
So, Is PM International A Scam?
You Deserve A Better Opportunity
Kudos to you! You’ve just read 2600+ words and still counting. If you make it this far, I commend your commitment.
Meanwhile, I can also feel how serious you’re when it comes to finding a proper way to make money from home.
As you might know, MLM is a flawed business model.
For sure, there’re still people who make a good amount of money with MLM. But it often represents a tiny group of people who joined the program early.
That said, it’s challenging for people who’re BOPs (bottom-of-pyramid) to make some serious dough because they’re running out of people to “recruit”.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money from home.
The reason is simple…
Advantage 1: No Recruitment Needed
- You don’t need to “chase” after people and talk them into MLM opportunity where most people lose money.
Advantage 2: Freedom of Choice
- You can promote any products you love and not be restricted only to promote the products from one MLM company.
Advantage 3: Low Startup Cost
- Unlike MLM, where you’ll need to pay a pricy introductory fee to join, it takes little to no startup cost to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey in Affiliate Marketing.
