Welcome to my Life Leadership’s unbiased review, my friend!
Today, I’m going to review the company thoroughly and tells you whether Life Leadership is a SCAM or not at the very end of this article.
Chances are, you’re the one who loves to improve yourself daily, and you’ve come across Life Leadership’s official website that offers “seemingly good” personal development products.
Or, you might be invited by your homies to join the company and earn lucrative commissions by marketing their products, but you’re not sure is the company legit or not, am I right?
Hey, this is Zac Phua here, the owner of Life Goal Finisher. No matter what reasons that bring you here, I must thank you for taking your precious time to click on this page and read the review.
It’s good for you to do your research before buying into any product/service. That’s the exact way to avoid potential scams and find a legitimate way to make money online.
Rest assured, I’m also not associate with Life Leadership (and I never will), so I won’t pitch you to buy any products from the company.
But, if you’re already joined their service. Then, I think you need to read this review and consider whether you should continue their service or quit ASAP.
Without further ado, let’s get started!

Summary: The good news is Life Leadership is a legitimate MLM company that sells personal development products. And even worst, less than 1% of people achieved that.
Overall SCAM Rating: 10/100 (Safe)

What is Life Leadership?
Based in Cary, North Carolina, Life Leadership is an MLM company specializing in personal development coaching products and subscriptions.
There’re 8 founders found this company in 2011, and Orrin Woodward seems to be the man in charge, considering he is acting Chairman of the Boards.
Moreover, among those 8 persons, Orrin Woodward and Chris Brady are the 2 most well-known founders, who are famous authors who’ve made remarkable achievements on the New York Times Best-Selling List years before.
Life Leadership Product Line
According to Life Leadership’s website, they claim that their purpose is to:
“help people live The Life They’ve Always Wanted by providing world-class, life-changing products and services to our customers and an industry-leading compensation plan to our sales force in the field.”
As yet, they have offered 3 primary divisions of informational and educational services.
- Personal Development
- LLR Corporate Education (Professional Development)
- Financial Fitness (Financial Financial Development)
These products come in the form of audio CDs, videos, and books.
Besides, they also host more than 7,500 live events in various locations worldwide every year.
It could easily cost you at least $200 in recurring monthly fees (not including the $99 one-time fee) to own their various products under either one of the categories.
Customer Feedback on Life Leadership
Unlike other MLM giants like Monat Global, “It Works!” and Optavia, which have hundreds or even thousands of customer complaints on their Better Business Bureau (BBB profile), Life Leadership only has 3 customer complaints as the time of writing (21 May 2020).
Moreover, Life Leadership also accredited by BBB, and they hold an A+ rating.
That means this company did a great job providing the best customer experience by marketing top-notch products/services and resolving customer issues on time.
Besides BBB, this also can be easily proven by their Facebook review page. As of 21 May 2020, they’ve been reviewed by 143 people and scored an average of 4.7 out of the 5-star rating.
Here’s a screenshot of the customer reviews I captured from their Facebook review page.

How To Join Life Leadership & Make Money?

Getting Started (The Joining Fee)
In most cases, you can’t avoid paying an upfront funding before you can join any MLM program, which they usually named as joining fee or enrolment fee.
To be Life Leadership’s associate, you need to pay a $99 one-time joining fee to buy their business starter kit, and a $19 annual renewal fee is applicable after that.
Meanwhile, you also required to buy their $50 to $100 worth of products every month, which also known as ‘autoship cost‘ in MLM industry.
Understanding The Basics of Their Compensation Plan
Just like I said earlier, I don’t know why most MLMs make their compensation plans complicated.
Thus, there’s no point in going into every detail of Life Leadership’s compensation plan because I can guarantee that it will “put you to sleep faster than a sloth on Ambien.”
Life Leadership goes insane in their compensation plan because there’re 19 different ways to earn commissions from the company.
They included:
1. Retail Sales Commission
2. Customer Pool Bonus
3. Cumulative Customer Bonus
4. Personal Volume Bonus Chart Commissions
5. Customer Bonus Chart Commissions
6. Differential Bonus Chart Commissions
7. Product Scholarship Program
8. Scholarship Development Bonus
9. Performer’s Incentive Trip
10. Fun in the Sun Cruise
11. Balanced Business Bonus
12. Annual Cash Awards
13. Leader Bonus
14. One-Time Cash Awards
15. Depth Bonuses
16 – 19: Various Depth Bonuses
Their business opportunity might sound so appealing right now. But, we’ll know how big the success rate of making money with Life Leadership in the later chapters. I can guarantee the answer will makes you to stay away from Life Leadership forever.

4 Reasons Why I Don't Life Leadership
1. 99.478% of Associates Are Making Less Than $500/month!
As there’s a saying goes: “Image speaks louder than words.” Here’s the screenshot of Life Leadership’s income disclosure for the period of February 2015 through January 2017.

2. Not Enough Information on Their Website
For a company that’s been operating for almost a decade, their official seems to have incomplete information.
And that’s simply unacceptable. It’s tough to gain trust from customers if they can’t find the information that they want.
Also, I reckon this is the leading cause that makes their members difficult to make a sale on these products. No wonder their income potential is so meager.
3. Competitive Niche & Overpriced Products
I don’t know you. But when I would like to learn something new, the first thing that will come to my mind is head over to Amazon to look for the relevant ebook that I need.
Or, I would go to Udemy or Skillshare, and look up their courses on personal development just to see what’s being offered right now.
If I need some motivation in my hard times, I would watch some inspiring videos on YouTube, or listen to the motivational podcast like “Born To Impact” by Joel Marion.

4. Orrin Woodward’s Shady Past
Before Orrin Woodward launched Life Leadership with other co-founders, he has involved in other MLM companies like Quixtar (current Amway) and Monavie.
He and his wife used to instigate other distributors to resign from Quixtar and joined the competition company, Monavie.
They were hit with a lawsuit from Amway in 2010 for misrepresenting the business opportunity and stripping them of their income. Luckily, the case was settled confidentially.
Even though this doesn’t hurt Life Leadership, it still makes me wonder about the business operation of the company. Hopefully, they’re not following the same path as Quixtar,
What Do I Like About Life Leadership
So, Is Life Leadership A SCAM?
Now comes the most crucial question: Is Life Leadership A SCAM?
After hours of research, I can say that Life Leadership is not a scam.
They sell legit services and cover every detail of their compensation for those interested in earning a commission.
Although they’re a legit MLM company, you’re wasting your time if you’re deciding to make money with their business program.
The income disclosure has shown that the success rate is meager. Only 0.522% of people are making money, but it takes years for them to achieve that.
Even if I say so, the choice is still yours. There’re no right and wrong answers for you to decide which business you want to get involved.
However, you should do some planning and calculation in advance to see if that business opportunity is worth your time and money or not.
You Deserve A Better Opportunity
Kudos to you! You’ve just read 2000+ words and still counting. If you make it this far, I commend your commitment.
Meanwhile, I can also feel how serious you’re when it comes to finding a proper way to make money from home.
As you might know, MLM is a flawed business model.
For sure, there’re still people who make a good amount of money with MLM. But it often represents a tiny group of people who joined the program early.
That said, it’s challenging for people who’re BOPs (bottom-of-pyramid) to make some serious dough because they’re running out of people to “recruit”.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money from home.
The reason is simple…
Advantage 1: No Recruitment Needed
- You don’t need to “chase” after people and talk them into MLM opportunity where most people lose money.
Advantage 2: Freedom of Choice
- You can promote any products you love and not be restricted only to promote the products from one MLM company.
Advantage 3: Low Startup Cost
- Unlike MLM, where you’ll need to pay a pricy introductory fee to join, it takes little to no startup cost to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey in Affiliate Marketing.
You might think I’m biased, but I’m just telling the truths…

Hi Zac
I have been reading a lot about Life Leadership and I was actually quite impressed by their offering but as always I like to do a bit of research before I jump in. I have had a bad experience with other MLM opportunities so I don’t want to go through something similar again.
Your review has certainly helped to change my mind about Life Leadership and I don’t think I will be investing in it now. I didn’t fully realise how complicated their compensation plan was until you highlighted it. The data you shared about how little income their associates are making is enough to make me look elsewhere.
Thanks again for sharing your experience
David
You’re more than welcome, David. I am glad to hear that you can get values from my article!
Thank you for giving this in-depth presentation about the Life Leadership program. I have been searching for this information online for quite some time now.
As regards the low Life Leadership income rate. I think most other affiliate marketing programs are similar. Most affiliate marketers perform very slowly, while a few end up becoming high earners. We just have to put in more effort and dedication, so we can find ourselves among the 0.522% marketers who are successful.
I agree with what you’ve said Teri. I’m also not a big fan of MLM, not because it’s illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and the expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money online.
