What is ID Life?

Based in Frisco, Texas, ID Life is a health and wellness MLM company founded by Logan Stout in 2014.

The company is launched to revolutionize the health and nutrition industry and provide a business opportunity for people who decides to make an income out of them.

With that said, ID Life is in direct competition with other MLM giants like Beachbody, Uforia, Melaleuca, and “It Works!

ID life not only offers a range of nutritional products that they claim can improve your overall health condition.

They also provide a free online questionnaire that asks specific health-related questions to determine the best ideal custom nutritional supplement formulation for you.

This is very similar to Uforia as they also offer personalized nutrition according to one’s DNA profile, which they named it as “Utrition.”

I also found a video review of ID life products on YouTube.

Apparently, everybody is praising about the quality of the products and the business opportunity provided by the company.

I’ve no intention to say these reviews are fake. But still, I will take these reviews with a grain of salt as from what I’ve noticed, most of them are actually affiliated with ID Life.

How To Join ID Life And Make Money?

And here’s come the most exciting part: how do you make money with ID Life?

As you might know, the compensation plans of most MLM companies are sophisticated.

For your better understanding, I’ll give you a brief step-by-step explanation to show you the process of how you can join ID Life and make an income out of it.

Step 1: The Joining Fee

Just like any other MLM company, ID Life required you to purchase their enrolment package to be their associate.

ID Life markets a range of enrolment packages that vary from $0 (free) to $349.00

Here’s the screenshot of the enrolment packages available on their website.

Enrolment packages of ID Life.

As you can see, the fee is not affordable for everyone. And the only 2 differences between these packages are the income potential, and the value of the product bundle you’ll be getting.

Once signed up, an ongoing monthly fee of $19.95 is also applicable.

Step 2: Make Money!

Even though the compensation plan of ID Life is only 13 pages long, it still took me a long time to understand how it works.

To keep things simple for better understanding, I’m only gonna list out the ways you can make money from ID Life with brief explanations.

Retail Commission

You can earn a 30% commission from every retail sale you make.

Recruitment Commission

When you recruit a new member by persuading them to buy the pricy enrolment packages, you’ll earn $100.

This commission is paid out per new affiliate recruited, limited only by how many members are recruited.

Unilevel Commission

This is a typical commission type implemented in every MLM company.

At ID Life, you can earn a percentage commission from the sales and recruitment made by your downline team, up to 10 levels deep.

Here’s how your downline looks like:

Unilevel Compensation Structure

Although the figure above only shows until the second level, you can still imagine how significant is the number of people who’re under you at the tenth level. If your downlines are loyal, you’ll be making millions every month.

It sounds like a get-rich-quick program, but the truth is, it’s hard enough to sell ID Life’s expensive products, let alone build up your reliable team.

However, it doesn’t mean you can’t do it unless you’re an introverted person and hate face-to-face selling like me.

That’s why I choose to blog. It’s a better way for me to serve you with valuable content like this one you’re reading right now. 🙂

Matching Bonus

You can earn Matching Bonus up to 40% when you reach a certain rank on the MLM leader board of ID Life.

Rank Advancement Bonus

When you qualify at certain ranks, you’ll get paid with a one-time cash bonus.

Global Pool Bonus

The Global Pool rewards you when you reach beyond your dreams and continue building the company and the future by generating high sales volume.

2% of IDLife Worldwide Commissionable Volume (CV) created from the Residual Income will be shared by high ranking leaders.

As you move up in rank, you will continue to receive your qualified portion of each bonus.

Car Bonus

ID Life rewards car allowance up to $2000 for those members who have achieved at a certain rank and above.

I have tried my very best to explain the basics of their compensation structure in simple language.

If you want to learn more about their MLM program, you can either read their compensation plan here or watch their video explanation below:

3 Reasons Why I Don't Recommend ID Life

1. Expensive Products and Joining Fee

Let’s face it. Both of their products and joining fees are pricy, and they’re not affordable for everyone, especially for those who are running on a tight budget.

I know they do provide a free membership package. But, I’m wondering if someone can make it big in ID Life without any necessary marketing kit and retail products.

All these factors will only make your recruitment journey tougher than you think.

2. No Income Disclosure

Let me tell you why an income disclosure is a big deal.

Income disclosure is an essential statement for you to know how much is the potential amount you can earn from an MLM company.

Unfortunately, ID Life hasn’t published an income disclosure yet. So you can’t estimate how big is your success rate after joining their MLM program.

3. Earning With MLM is Rarely A Great Idea – Low Income Potential

This is an extra claim I would like to use for supporting my previous statements.

Here’s a screenshot from the FTC report states how difficult it is to be successful in MLM business.

FTC states that only 1% of people are actually making money in any MLM program.

The reporter has investigated 350 MLM companies and claimed that only 1% of people could make tons of money from MLM, and most of them are TOPPs (top-of-pyramid promoters) who joined the prgram way earlier than anybody else. For the rest of the people, they LOSE MONEY.

With the solid proof from FTC, and no income disclosure from ID Life, I guess the income potential after joining their MLM program is MEAGER.

What Do I Like About ID Life?

They Have 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee.

A good refund policy could help a company to gain trust from customers easier.

It’s also necessary because not everyone will like the taste of the nutritional products offered by ID Life.

Also, sometimes customers will receive wrong or damaged products from the company. I know it’s quite rare, but it still can happen anytime.

If you’re not satisfied with the products, you can still apply for a refund within 30 days.

So, Is ID Life a Scam?

Now to one of the most critical questions. Is ID Life a SCAM?

After hours of research, I can tell you that ID Life is not a scam.

It’s a legitimate networking marketing company that operates for more than 5 years.

They market clinically-tested nutritional products, and they also laid out every detail of their compensation for people who would like to join their MLM program.

If they’re a scam, then the FTC would have already shut it down.

However, if you ask me if I would recommend this business opportunity or not, my answer is NO because of the several downsides that I’ve mentioned in the earlier chapter.

Even if I say so, the choice is still yours. There’re no right and wrong answers for you to decide which business model you want to get involved.

But, you should do some planning and calculation in advance to see if that business opportunity is worth your time and money or not.

You Deserve A Better Opportunity

Kudos to you! You’ve just read 1900+ words and still counting. If you make it this far, I commend your commitment.

Meanwhile, I can also feel how serious you’re when it comes to finding a proper way to make money from home.

As you might know, MLM is a flawed business model.

For sure, there’re still people who make a good amount of money with MLM. But it often represents a tiny group of people who joined the program early.

That said, it’s challenging for people who’re BOPs (bottom-of-pyramid) to make some serious dough because they’re running out of people to “recruit”.

MLM Unilevel Compensation Structure

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money from home.

The reason is simple…

Advantage 1: No Recruitment Needed

  • You don’t need to “chase” after people and talk them into MLM opportunity where most people lose money.

Advantage 2: Freedom of Choice

  • You can promote any products you love and not be restricted only to promote the products from one MLM company.

Advantage 3: Low Startup Cost

  • Unlike MLM, where you’ll need to pay a pricy introductory fee to join, it takes little to no startup cost to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey in Affiliate Marketing.

You might think I’m biased, but I’m just telling the truths…

  1. Firstly, thank you for taking the time to trawl through all of the information on ID Life to give us such an in-depth review of it.

I am always looking at ways that I can earn money outside of my 9-5 salary paid job and have considered MLM so many times. The statistic that you provide on the success of MLM is scary, which definitely makes me feel like it is a good idea to look at other revenue streams either as an addition or an alternative to MLM.

I have downloaded your blueprint and look forward to taking a good read through this.

    Thanks again

  2. Hi Zac, it was true that MLMs company had its own negative comments from many people who joined and left. I had some fair share of unfortunate experiences from online MLMs biz opportunity as well. Before joining, there are many promises of support from uplines and the networks. After joining, it is a different story altogether. Yes, i agreed. The joining fee is high and it get more when a member advance up the levels. And i had to continue to use their health products for some time before seeing the results. So i had to keep on paying the cost until my business network took off. The products may not be scientifically proven. I had read many news that many MLMs health companies were being investigated and penalised for bad business practices. Although the company were be ordered to close down, it will reopen under a different business name and start all over again. Until regulations were formed to suspend the MLMs company and blacklisted them. Hence, all hope is not lost, there are about 10% of the MLMs company with reliable products and compensation plans. So it is a matter of how to find them.

Based on my experiences, it is best to research the products and company before joining. And check out their credentials. Read the agreements before signing up. I had encountered a few of my friends who end up having to pay large sum of fees before leaving the network.

    To more success ahead.

    1. Wow, thanks for leaving such an impressive comment, David.

Indeed, MLM might not be a great choice for beginners who wants to make money online. It’s just too many SCAM out there. It’s really hard to differentiate a good one and the bad one.

  3. Guess many of us have had experiences with MLM companies.  Thanks for the review on ID Life.  Being interested in a healthy life and proven ways of losing weight, this one had come to my attention.  The whole concept of selling seems so simple when you at first are introduced to a product.  However, it seems that in the long run, the whole system goes sideways. My enthusiasm weakens, the results aren’t what is expected.  Lots of reasons the plan just doesn’t fit any more.

There are other ways to make money and have a side gig.  You don’t need to have a product on your shelves, credit cards maxed out.  The program suggested as the recommended way to earn money on the side avoids all that!  Check it out. Sami
