Why Is A Nomadic Lifestyle So Appealing for Many People?

Human being has always been a nomadic species. It’s an undeniable fact. Back in the early years of human history, our ‘ancestors’ moved freely from place to place to hunt and protect the families from vicious predators. I guess that’s why this kind of wanderlust spirit is still within every one of us even until today.

Being a digital nomad allows you to travel the world to explore amazing places and meet new friends. You can live and work anywhere you want, as long as there’s an internet connection available.

Don't Let Lack of Experience from Stopping You

No matter what industry you’re in, I agree that the experience is the core element that could lead you to success.

However, you only can be an EXPERIENCED digital nomad if you’re willing to learn new knowledge, apply it, and keep trying it until success.

What I’m trying to say is that experiences and skills are the by-products of the WILL to learn by doing.

Let me give you an example:

  • Let’s say you are learning to ride a bike as a complete newbie. In the beginning, you will struggle a lot to find the balance point, and you might fall many times. It’s the process of learning by doing that gives you the EXPERIENCES that finally help you to master the skill.
Experiences are gained by doing things.

2 Crucial Things to Consider Before You Set Off to Live A Nomadic Lifestyle

1. You must be debt-free.

It’s a simple concept. If you’re in serious debt, this will lead to the inconsistency of income, or even cause you stuck in hardship without income for a long time.

Hence, the first thing you need to do is to pay off the high-interest rates loans or credit card debt that you owned, so you won’t be stress out by these unnecessary debts if you start digging into savings when you’re traveling.

2. Make sure you have the skill that can make you money.

The important of learning high-income skills.

No doubt, this is the most important thing you need to consider before you decide to live a nomadic lifestyle.

A successful digital nomad is often the people who have mastered a specific high-income skill like affiliate marketing, which allows them to get paid while they’re on the go.

You can ask the 2 questions below to figure what is your “hidden talent”:

  5. I did a double take when I saw this blog of yours being very similar to another one about Digital Nomads. When I checked them out I got the feeling, What Is A Digital Nomad & How Do They Make Money Online, and, The Ultimate Guide To Be A Digital Nomad With No Experience complimented each other.

The second is what I am reviewing now shows us how we can achieve a successful state of a Digital Nomad. I found it novel that you mentioned the importance of being debt free. Otherwise having debt could push one into making wrong decisions.

Isn’t it uncanny that the people who are most looking to make money online are also the ones who are in debt? Are you really sure that being in debt is a basis to fail? Or is there a way by using budgeting and discipline a person in debt can succeed.

For one thing they have a huge motivation to make the online business work. And Affiliate Marketing is one business that requires very little investment to work. It’s main resource is time.

    1. Hi, Edwin. It’s my pleasure to be able to serve you and the community with my content.

Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to say that being in debt is a basis to fail. What I’m trying to say is people who’re in debt should not think about being a full-time digital nomad as they’ll be stressed out by the heavy loans.

Instead, they should clear off the debt first before they begin their nomadic journey.

And I do agree with you saying that affiliate marketing is a great way for people to earn money online as it requires a little to no startup cost.

By the way, would you mind to share your experience in affiliate marketing with me? It will be a cool experience if we can share more knowledge and help each other grow.

I also appreciate your help if you’re able to share my content on social media to help more people.

If you want to be a successful digital nomad, besides the tips that I mentioned in the article, I think SELF-DISCIPLINE is the most important.

Since you’re a member of Wealthy Affiliate, I think you can “learn by doing” so you can master the skill more faster. JUST DO IT, no special secret or tips, I believe you’ll succeed if you are willing to put in the work, and don’t forget we got your back!

One thing, I’ve always noticed is that the one who becomes a successful digital nomad are people who have developed a skill to support their dream and ton of patience. Most people these days will look at a travel influencer and think that they can pack their bags the next day and become successful as well. And they have zero budget planning and end up in huge debts. And that’s a really sad ending to what could have been a beautiful one.

I hope anybody who is thinking about being a digital nomad comes across your article.
