What Is AmeriPlan?
Based in Texas, United States, AmeriPlan is a nationwide discounted healthcare services provider founded by Dennis and Daniel Bloom in 1992.
The company acts as a middleman between the average American families and local medical firms. It then offers the families discounts on healthcare services with a small charge of monthly fees.
Due to the large membership base, AmeriPlan is able to obtain an average of up to 80% discount from the local medical firms.
The medical services in their membership packages are included:
- Dental
- Vision
- Prescription
- Chiropractic
- Physician
- X-ray

- Hospital Advocacy
- And much more…
I believe such a service will be a lifesaver for every low-income family in any country as it’ll reduce the enormous financial burden off their shoulders.

How Do You Join AmeriPlan & Make Money?
Just a quick reminder here: AmeriPlan is a Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) company.
With that in mind, you might know that most MLM compensation plan is EXTREMELY complicated.
Please take a look at the table below. It shows how the company distributes the commission based on one’s ranking on their MLM leaderboard.

7 Ways To Make Money With AmeriPlan:
1. Direct Subscription Commissions
This is a 40% commission paid out on subscription purchases by retail customers.
Commissions are paid in advance, on the premise that customers will continue to pay for the subscription for at least five months.
2. Recruitment Commissions
AmeriPlan salesperson is paid to recruit new affiliates who sign up for a savings subscription.
The more new members recruited in a month, the higher the advance commission rate paid out.
3. Residual Commissions
Residual commissions in AmeriPlan are paid out via a unilevel compensation structure.
That means the higher your ranking on their MLM leaderboard, the more commission you’ll be qualified to earn.
4. Sales Team Bonus
If a salesperson’s downline sells fifty or more subscriptions in a month, they will be rewarded with a $500 cash bonus.
5. Centennial Club
If the salesperson can generate 100 points in new subscription volume (roughly four subscriptions) a month for twelve consecutive months will be rewarded with a $2500 cash bonus.
6. Vacation Trip
A ‘7 days and 6 nights trip and a cash bonus of $10,000‘ will be awarded to a salesperson and their downlines who can sell at least 50 subscriptions each month.
7. Cadillac Club
If a salesperson earns $50,000 or more over a rolling twelve-month period, they qualify for a leased Cadillac.
It’s Confusing! I Know.
Don’t worry if you don’t understand what I’m trying to explain.Â
All you need to know about AmeriPlan compensation is just come down to 1 simple process:
(1) Join => (2) Sell => (3) Recruit
Once you join their MLM program with a $24.95 annual membership fee, the next 2 things you need to do is just earn retail profits by selling their healthcare packages and recruit people into your MLM network.
And now you might be asking whether you can choose to make commission only through selling their membership packages or not, without recruiting people.
My answer is Yes. But you’ve to understand that the ideal way to succeed in MLM business is to form a downline team that can branch out your circle and maximizes your earning potential.Â
That’s why it’s called Multi-Level Marketing.Â

4 Reasons Why I Don't Recommend AmeriPlan
1. Obsolete Marketing Strategy
I’ve mentioned that AmeriPlan is still required their salespeople to promote the services by cold-calling.
Even an ordinary person knows that this marketing strategy doesn’t work well anymore in this digital era, let alone seasoned salespersons.Â
But the company left them with no choice.
Think about it this way; what’s the first reaction/thought that comes to your mind when you get an unknown phone call?Â
And once you pick up your phone, the person on the other side start pitching you to buy their so-called “healthcare” services.
I am pretty sure you’ll be very vigilant with such phone calls as it sounds like a SCAM in today’s world.
2. You Might Shun by Friends & Relatives
AmeriPlan is not an insurance company, but for people who don’t know anything about it, they might misunderstand it.
I don’t know you. But I am not the one who’ll bother my friends and relatives to buy into something from me, or introducing such a “great biz opp” to them.
Why? The first reason is that I am not a big fan of face-to-face selling.Â
And the second reason is that I know they WILL shun me, especially if I am too aggressive on selling the services and recruitment.
That might sabotage the relationships indirectly. Let’s admit it. No one likes to be sold.Â
3. Member Complaints On Unstable Income
Quite frankly, unstable income is a significant downside for the MLM industry.
You might already know that the top earners in an MLM program are basically those who create the program and TOPPs (top-of-pyramid) who get into the network way earlier than you.
There’s a study by FTC on 350 MLM companies, and the result showing that 99% of people that join MLMs lose money.
And guess what? I can tell you that most of them are the people who at the bottom of the pyramid.
Here’s the screenshot of the FTC report, proving that I am not lying to you.

I believe the outdated marketing strategy used by AmeriPlan and low-Income potential in the MLM industry will make your sales and recruitment journey tougher than you can imagine.
What Do I Like About AmeriPlan?
1. Affordable Service & Low Joining Fee
AmeriPlan not only helps low-income families get discounted medical services, but they also provide an MLM money-making opportunity for people who interested in working with them.
Paying hundreds of joining fee is like a norm when it comes to joining an MLM program.
But at AmeriPlan, you only need to pay $24.95 per year, and you’re already running a business! I think that’s more than fair enough.
2. Great Reputation
AmeriPlan has been in the business for almost 30 years right now.
There must be a reason for a company to stay that long, and one of them is because of their great reputation in public.
The screenshots of customer reviews that I’ve shown you in the earlier chapter are good proofs.
3. Done-For-You Website and Marketing Tools
Once you’re approved to be AmeriPlan’s salesperson, they’ll provide you with some training and resources to help you build your business.
These tools and resources are consists of:
- Business Kit – Digital Starter Package to help you start your MLM business
- Personal Website – For you to build your brand, collect leads and generate sales
- Personal Back office – Platform for you to track your business performance, access training materials, tools, and other resources.
4. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
A good refund policy could help a company to gain trust from customers easier.
It’s also necessary because not everyone will satisfy with the qualify of services offered by AmeriPlan.
If you’re not satisfied with their services, you can still apply for a refund within 30 days.
So, Is AmeriPlan "Work From Home" Opportunity A Scam?

Now to the most crucial verdict of this AmeriPlan Review: Is this program A SCAM?
My answer to that is: NO. They aren’t a scam or a pyramid scheme.
In fact, they’re a well-established MLM company that provide their member with real and legit services to promote and allow them to maximize their income potential by recruiting downlines at the same time.
But Pyramid Scheme doesn’t have such a proper system, and they don’t have any actual products/services to be offered to consumers.
The only way for someone to make money in the Pyramid Scheme is by recruiting more new members.
And you guess it right, such “money game” will eventually collapse, and everyone will lose money besides the one who started the program.
Although I claim that AmeriPlan is not a scam, it’s still not the best business opportunity that I could recommend to any newbies who want to make money from home.
The reasons are straightforward. I think not everyone will like face-to-face selling.
Furthermore, by joining their program, you’re limited to promoting AmeriPlan only, and not everyone likes this insurance kind of service.
Even if I say so, the choice is still yours. There’s no right or wrong answer for choosing which business you want to get involved.
But, it’s better for you if you can do planning and calculation in advance to see if the business is worth your time and money or not.
You Deserve A Better Opportunity
Kudos to you! You’ve just read 2200+ words and still counting. If you make it this far, I commend your commitment.
Meanwhile, I can also feel how serious you’re when it comes to finding a proper way to make money from home.
MLM is great.Â
I am also not saying that people can’t make a decent living with MLM. But it often represents a tiny group of people who joined the program early.
That said, it’s challenging for people who’re BOPs (bottom-of-pyramid) to make some serious dough because they’re running out of people to “recruit”.

Instead, Affiliate Marketing is my top recommended business model for anyone to make money from home.
The reason is simple…
Advantage 1: No Recruitment Needed
- You don’t need to “chase” after people and talk them into MLM opportunity where most people lose money.
Advantage 2: Freedom of Choice
- You can promote any products you love and not be restricted only to promote the products from one MLM company.
Advantage 3: Low Startup Cost
- Unlike MLM, where you’ll need to pay a pricy introductory fee to join, it takes little to no startup cost to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey in Affiliate Marketing.
You might think I’m biased, but I’m just telling the truths…

Hello Zac, I understand why you can call this one a money game because it doesn’t really pay to the way people might think of it. Looking at your ameriplan review, it doesn’t seem to be the kind of platform where one is sure to make a steady income. Even members of the platform have something against it as there is no steady or stable income. That’s a very sad case.
Exactly.
In fact, every MLM has the same issue (unstable income). Not just AmeriPlan.
